Our string community is what makes West Texas one of the best places to make music and learn about the fantastic world of strings. To give back and grow this string community, Robinson Strings would like to assist Lubbock and Permian Basin Area high school seniors seeking a degree in orchestral music education or music performance by awarding scholarships in the amount of $1,000. Robinson Strings will award four qualified candidates (two from the Lubbock area and two from the Permian Basin Area) who can speak to their passion for music and education/performance. To be considered for the Robinson Strings Music Scholarship, students must:

- Plan to enroll in an accredited college or university
- Major in Orchestral Music Education or Music Performance
- Play an orchestral string instrument (violin, viola, cello, or double bass)
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Be registered in their public or private school’s orchestra program
- Submit their applications by April 1st
